About Us.

Who We Are

Al-Ma’rifah Foundation is an Islamic educational organisation based in Manchester, UK.

A Growing Need

Al-Ma’rifah Foundation was founded in 2009. Following their return from Egypt, Imam Abid and Ustadh Rehan established the foundation in response to the growing need of British Muslims who wished to deepen their knowledge in the traditional Islamic sciences.

Our primary focus is the teaching of Orthodox Islam in an open and contemporary setting, whilst abiding by the required Shar’i principles. Although we are a Sunni based organisation, we are not affiliated with any group or sect which allows for people of all backgrounds to attend and benefit from divine knowledge bestowed upon our Ummah from the noble Qur’an and the sunnah of the Prophet (saw).
