Overview
Al-Ma’rifah Foundation is delighted to announce the return of our flagship Islamic Studies course this September, welcoming both our returning and new students. Moreover, we are excited to announce that for the first time ever, we are introducing a third year! All classes will take place weekly on Thursdays, starting from the 19th of September 2024. First and second year students will start at 7:45pm whilst third year students will start at 7pm. All classes will take place at Cheadle Masjid, 377 Wilmslow Road, Heald Green, Cheadle, SK8 3NP.
There are five modules in Year 1 and six modules in Year 2. These are detailed below. Each module will be taught for one hour every week and we will cover two modules per term Insha’Allah. Year 3 will have no modules, and will instead involve an extended study of one topic with a teacher throughout the year. In addition, third year students will have the choice to attend various workshops and lectures to aid in developing them with different practical and soft skills.

FAQs
Yes, you are more than welcome to register from anywhere in the UK as all sessions will be recorded for registered attendees to access insha’Allah. Recordings will be uploaded to the online student portal within 72 hours of the class.
Please note that online attendance is still monitored and any students attending online are still expected to uphold a strong level of attendance throughout the year.
Yes, you may choose to pay the total cost split into two payments before the start of each term. Please use the contact form to enquire about this.
Unfortunately this is not possible.
Yes, that there will be an assessed exam at the end of the first term and a final exam at the end of the year which will cover content from the second term
Please note that those students with a low attendance record and insufficient exam scores will not obtain an a certificate of completion at the end of the year.
Yes, you can still join if you have studied some form of Islamic Studies previously, as although some content will be similar, it will still be an excellent opportunity to recap modules. In addition, we are delighted to announce a number of new instructors to the course, as well as a wider range of subjects being covered over the course of the year insha’Allah. Whilst the first year has no entry requirements, students may struggle in the second and third year without some prior background knowledge. Further details can be found in the Course Prospectus.
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your spouse, friends, or family. Please note that enrolment is required for each individual with separate email addresses.
Our course is generally aimed at 16+ and the content will be targeted accordingly. Please do follow our social media channels for upcoming courses, events, workshops, and sessions that are being catered for those younger.
Unfortunately we do not offer cancellations or refunds following the start of the course. This includes any remaining balance in the case of a payment plan.
