Al-Marifah Foundation is delighted to announce the return of Arabic Accelerated, an intensive Arabic programme designed to provide a focused and fast-tracked path to mastering the language of the Quran. With dedicated Year One and Year Two pathways, students can progress from the foundations of Arabic to the study of advanced classical texts and the linguistic sciences.

First-year classes will take place every Monday and Thursday, beginning on 14 September 2026 at 7:15pm. Second-year classes will take place every Monday beginning on 14 September 2026 at 8:00pm

The programme spans 33 weeks and is designed for students who are serious about developing their Arabic and preparing for further study in the Islamic sciences. Alongside six hours of classroom teaching each week, students benefit from regular assessments, exercises, and independent study to reinforce their learning.

The programme includes:

Year One

• Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk – a practical and immersive introduction to Arabic using one of the most widely taught curricula for non-native speakers.
• Qisas an-Nabiyyin – strengthening vocabulary and reading skills through the stories of the Prophets.
• Nahw and Sarf – building a solid foundation in Arabic grammar and morphology to prepare students for classical texts.

Year Two

• Al-Ajrumiyyah (selected sections) – further study of nahw, supported by the reading and explanation of Safwah al-Tafaseer (Surah al-Rahman).
• Al-Sarf al-Kaafi (selected sections) – further study of morphology, including weak verbs, four-letter verbs, and related topics, with Safwah al-Tafaseer (Surah Yasin).
• Balaghah – an introduction to Arabic rhetoric, including bayan, fasahah, tashbeeh, istiarah, kinayah, and badi, alongside selected poetry from the Diwan of Imam al-Shafi and short Arabic presentations.

Throughout both years, students will:

• Develop a strong understanding of classical Arabic.
• Improve reading, comprehension, and grammatical analysis.
• Gain exposure to authentic scholarly texts.
• Build confidence in speaking Arabic.
• Prepare for higher studies in the Islamic sciences.

Entry Requirements

• Year One is suitable for students who can read Arabic script and the Quran. Whilst the course is intended for those at a beginner level, some prior familiarity with basic Arabic grammar may be beneficial.
• Students wishing to enrol directly into Year Two must complete an assessment before their enrolment can be finalised.
