Overview
Al-Ma’rifah Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of the Shariah Studies Programme, a brand-new two-year programme for those seeking to develop their Islamic knowledge and prepare for further study, covering the foundational Islamic sciences through relied-upon Arabic texts, with classes delivered in English.
This comprehensive programme – spanning 33 weeks of teaching – is tailored for students who are serious about advancing their knowledge of the Islamic sciences and are dedicated to developing it into a pathway for potential scholarship. It covers essential subject areas including:
- Arabic
- Comparative Fiqh
- Hadith
- Seerah
- Uloom al-Quran
- Usool al-Fiqh
As part of the above list of subjects, students will study from key Arabic primers such as Al-Waraqat, Fiqh us-Seerah, Saftwatul Tafasir, and more.
Furthermore, in addition to six hours a week of classroom instruction, students will benefit from increased assessments, exercises, and independent learning tasks – all aimed at consolidating understanding and accelerating progress. This course is ideal for students looking to deepen their Islamic Studies and Arabic in a more serious and structured manner, particularly those intending to pursue further studies and scholarship in the Islamic sciences.
Students must have a foundational understanding of the Arabic language and the fundamental topics of Islamic Studies. This will be assessed through an entry test upon initial registration prior to full enrolment.
